Weekly Compassion Cafe
Our weekly Compassion Cafe takes place every Friday at 12.30 – 13.30 (UK time) via zoom. Links are sent directly to members. This is a great opportunity to connect with other members of CC-UK to share progress, ideas and challenges.
Monthly Book Club
Our monthly book club takes place on the third Thursday of the month 19.00 – 20.00 (UK time) via zoom. Books are voted for via our Twitter account and links will be sent out to members. If you have any book suggestions, please email us!
Monthly Policy Cafe
The monthly policy cafe aims to talk about national and international policy that is relevant to the field of Compassionate Communities. This takes place second Thursday of the month 19.00 – 20.00 (UK time) via zoom. Links will be sent out to members. If there are any areas of policy you would particularly like to discuss, let us know.
Policy and Advocacy
CC-UK will engage in campaigning, lobbying, influencing and advocacy work in order to effect political, social, economic or environmental change in accordance with its charitable objects.
We encourage our members to help achieve this change by commenting on ‘thought pieces’, taking part in research and identifying and taking part in discussions on areas that need our attention.
CC-UK in doing such work will comply with the required best practice guidance as identified by the Charity Commission.
